Respect
Stories are treated as lived experiences rather than material to sensationalize. The goal is to preserve dignity, nuance, and the voice behind each experience.
Real immigrant stories about identity, culture, belonging, and the invisible rules we carry across borders.
Between Passports is a personal storytelling project I created outside of my professional work. It gives me a space to explore immigration, identity, culture, belonging, and the small moments that shape how people understand home.
The intent is simple: tell real immigrant stories in a way that is accepting, welcoming, and respectful. I want the project to make room for different experiences without turning people into stereotypes, statistics, or talking points.
Those values were first shaped by my family, became more tangible through my own life in Canada, and were reinforced by the diversity, equity, and inclusion work and conversations I encountered throughout my professional career.
Between Passports is not meant to speak for every immigrant experience. It is a place to listen to individual stories, notice the differences between them, and recognize the humanity that often sits underneath the cultural misunderstandings, awkward moments, losses, humour, and adaptation that come with moving across borders.
Stories are treated as lived experiences rather than material to sensationalize. The goal is to preserve dignity, nuance, and the voice behind each experience.
Cultural differences are approached as something to understand, not something that automatically needs to be judged, ranked, or corrected.
The project makes room for the complicated reality that people can belong to more than one place, feel between places, or redefine what home means over time.
I develop the project end to end: story sourcing, writing, narration, audio production, editing, visual identity, short-form adaptations, publishing, channel management, and promotion.
